Vista Service Pack ( May 2008)

In April Microsoft release the first service pack for Windows Vista! Up until this point we have strongly suggested that users do NOT use Vista due to many performance and compatibility issues, however it would appear that this update does tackle several of these issues.

Internet Watch Foundation ( May 2008)

As the use of the internet becomes more wide spread so does the use of spam email. Spam mail can come in all shapes and sizes, but possibly the most disturbing are those that promote the availability of illegal Internet content particularly child abuse images.

The Internet Watch Foundation works in partnership with ISPs, Telcos, Mobile Operators, Software Providers, Police and Governments to help combat the spread of such material. They rely heavily on reports provided by users to investigate sites that; Contain images of child abuse anywhere in the world, Contain adult material that potentially breaches the Obscene Publications Act in the UK, Contain criminally racist material in the UK.
