IBAK 2017 Award Small Business – Runner Up

IBAK 2017 Award – Friday  29th September  saw  us reach the heady heights of Runner Up in one of Kent’s most widely accepted  awards.

Independent Business Awards Kent  (Formerly the KITA Awards) was launched this year. Featuring a wealth of categories giving Kent businesses recognition for their achievements.

Many of the categories had over 40 nominations.

Our application was completed after being nominated by Linda Garcia, of Alluxi  Consulting to enter the  awards.   We  were submitted for three categories; Customer Services, Digital & Social Media Business &  Kent Small Business  1-9 Employees (established over 5 years).

Quickly realising on the night of the awards that that we were in some prestigious company. Which was heartening, having been shortlisted for two of our categories.

What did we receive?

J & J actually received a Runner Up award for the Kent Small Business category. Accompanied by our  friend in business Whitstable Produce Store coming out the winner. We were both runners up in the Canterbury Small Business Awards earlier in the year.  Meaning we had met before at an awards ceremony!

The evening was a well run and  enjoyable affair. Hosted by the effervescent  Hilary Steel and the various judges  presenting all the awards.

The whole night had a great friendly feel & of course the Social Media activity was frantic with pictures being Tweeted constantly.

You can find a list of results on the IBAK website.

Have we felt a benefit to the awards we have entered as part of our marketing strategy?

The answer has to be yes, our profile as a business, our knowledge of the market place. Having regular reviews of our business strategy when completing applications has been a great benefit. Focusing our attention on our current and our future plans. Ensuring we remain acutely aware of the goals we set at the start of each year.
