J & J Systems are now one of a network of certified assessors who provide Cyber Essentials certification for businesses.

Cyber Essentials is provided by IASME the official delivery partner with the National Cyber Security Centre.  IASME are responsible for all the Cyber Essentials Certification Bodies.

Applying the Cyber Essentials principles to your business will help to remove large vulnerabilities from your systems, bringing you a more secure suite of policies and security measures.

When your business becomes certified, you will be offering your customers reassurance that you take cyber security seriously and additionally your business will be listed in a Directory of organisations awarded the Cyber Essentials certification.  You will be confident when approaching new businesses that you have the relevant cyber security measures in place to deal with them.

Free Cyber Liability Insurance

Additionally, once approved your business will automatically receive cyber liability insurance.  To qualify for this insurance, your business must be a UK organisation with less than £20m annual turnover (there are terms for this cover).

Consultancy On The Process

As an approved Assessor for the Cyber Essentials scheme we will be able to assist our clients in completing the certification by providing consultancy and advice.

The fees are based on the size of your organisation, with the annual certification fee payable on commencement of the process.  We will give you access to an online portal, which will provide you with the access to the certification questions, which you must complete, (with our consultancy to assist you where appropriate).  Before you start the process we can provide you with the complete suite of questions to ensure you are prepared.

This consultancy is out of scope of our Premium & Premium Plus Maintenance contracts & will attract a monthly fee.

Luckily with our current Premium Maintenance service, many of the controls and requirements for the Cyber Essentials certification are already in place for your business.  There are other aspects which the certification covers, including business guidelines around the devices your business uses for its Information Technology, including mobile phones and tablets that will need to be addressed and written into your policies.
